Church security grants

Federal and state funding for physical security at churches and other houses of worship.

Security funding for houses of worship comes mostly from government. The largest source is FEMA's Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP). Churches apply through their state administrative agency, not directly to FEMA. Some states run their own programs, such as Pennsylvania's Nonprofit Security Grant Fund and Tennessee's contracted security personnel grant. The Bureau of Justice Assistance has also posted a houses of worship security solicitation.

Typical eligible costs are physical upgrades such as cameras, lighting, doors and access control, plus security planning. Most programs ask for a vulnerability assessment first.

Source-linked. Check eligibility and current dates with each funder before applying. Where a field shows "See funder site", the supplied summary does not establish that detail.

Filters help discovery, not eligibility. “Dated deadline” does not confirm an open application. Imported records need team review; see evidence coverage.
